Art Night! Spring Awakening: A Flower-Themed Art Workshop
Join us for a creative and reflective art workshop celebrating the spirit of spring through the theme of flowers. This guided experience invites you to explore moments of personal growth and renewal, using art as a means of self-expression and discovery.
? Workshop Theme: “Flowers”
We’ll begin with two inspiring questions to guide our creativity:
Which moment in your life has felt like “spring”?
What does the act of “flowers blooming” mean to you? Could it be an act of courage?
? Optional Meditation: Sensory Awakening
Gently close your eyes and imagine yourself emerging from winter—awakening like a seed beneath the snow, sensing the warmth of the earth and the sun’s gentle call. Let this visualization ground and inspire your creative journey.
? Sensory Exploration (15 minutes)
Let’s take a moment to connect with the theme of flowers through simple sensory reflection. You’ll be invited to recall or imagine a flower that resonates with you—this could be one you’ve seen, smelled, touched, or simply admired.
You may bring a real flower, a picture, or just a memory to mind. Then, reflect on it using your senses:
What does it look like?
How do you think it would feel or smell?
What emotions does it evoke in you?
If this flower could speak, what would it say to the world?
This gentle exercise is designed to spark your imagination and ground your artistic process in personal sensory awareness—no special materials required.? Artistic Expression: Guided Painting Session (45 minutes)
In this part of the workshop, we’ll come together for a guided painting session centered around a spring-inspired theme. Whether you’re new to painting or have some experience, this session is designed to be beginner-friendly and approachable.
Our instructor will walk everyone step-by-step through creating a beautiful spring-themed artwork—think blooming flowers, gentle colors, and symbols of growth and renewal. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to bring your personal touch to the piece, inspired by the reflections we explored earlier.
There’s no need for prior experience—just a willingness to be creative, present, and open to expressing your version of “spring”.
