Garden Plot in CSCC Community Garden

CSCC has a community garden, located right outside our community center building at 1024 27th Ave SE. We have about 40 4×8 raised bed plots, that CSCC residents enjoy planting their own vegetables in throughout the summer. Because of the great interest in having a plot in the garden, residents are required to fill out an application for the garden and a lottery system is used in allocating them.

Our garden is for organic gardening only. No pesticides or commercial fertilizer is to be used (just lots of great compost).

The garden opens in mid-April each year at which time a large group orientation is held.

Feel free to contact Elaine at cscc.activities {at} gmail(.)com anytime with questions about the community garden!

Be a Good Neighbor!

Nov 29th, 2010 | by CSCC | Category: Announcements | No comments yet

What is a good neighbor? Smile and say ‘hello’ to your neighbors when you see them in the coreway or at the bus stop; help a neighbor struggling with a heavy box; welcome new families who move into your coreway; help your neighbor shovel the sidewalk when its their turn; invite your neighbor to join you at a CSCC activity; and  in getting to know your neighbor, invite them over for a cup of tea or dessert.
