Single Graduate Student Eligibility
Currently, single graduate students are eligible to live at CSCC with certain restrictions.
- Families and domestic partners receive priority in housing at CSCC
- Single graduate students are eligible for only flat-style 2-bedroom apartments in most circumstances.
- A single graduate student can live alone OR with one other U of M graduate student, who would also need to sign the lease . CSCC does not involve itself in the pairing of roommates, this is handled by the individuals. The composition of a household entering a CSCC unit is always subject to the CSCC General Manager’s approval as is any change in a household once they are here.
- Rent prices at CSCC are always based upon the type of unit that you reside in at CSCC. Rent is never set on a per person basis.
- If two graduate students plan to share an apartment, both must fill out the application and pay the application fee
- If one student moves out, the apartment will be inspected upon the move-out
- Single graduate students also have the choice to join the cooperative. If they join, they are entitled to the rewards and responsibilities of the cooperative
Allowing single graduate students is a new policy at CSCC, so new restrictions and/or policies may be developed as deemed necessary by the board of directors or management.
