CSCC has a community garden, located right outside our community center building at 1024 27th Ave SE. We have about 40 4×8 raised bed plots, that CSCC residents enjoy planting their own vegetables in throughout the summer. Because of the great interest in having a plot in the garden, residents are required to fill out an application for the garden and a lottery system is used in allocating them.

Our garden is for organic gardening only. No pesticides or commercial fertilizer is to be used (just lots of great compost).

The garden opens in mid-April each year at which time a large group orientation is held.

This is a contest Powwow with drum circles, and dances including tiny tots, juniors, men’s traditional, grass dance, and women’s traditional. Indian tacos will be for sale, plus CSCC will provide roasted corn (get tickets from your building coordinator).
