CSCC Resources

  1. Party Room Rental - “The Loft” (the 2nd floor in the CSCC Community Center) offers kitchen facilities, a big screen TV and plenty of space for all types of activities including birthday parties, friend and family socials, holiday parties and more. Residents may rent the loft for a fee of $5.00/hour. Contact the office to make a reservation up to sixty days in advance.
  2. Garage - An automotive garage, located in the exterior southwest corner of the CSCC Community Center, is available to residents to repair their own cars, change the oil, vacuum it out and more. A short twenty minute orientation is offered every other month to teach residents how to use and care for the garage and is required before a resident can use it.
  3. Portable Battery Charger - Residents can check out the battery charger from the CSCC office to assist them in starting their cars. There is no charge, but an ID is necessary.
  4. DVDs - There is a growing collection of DVDs that the CSCC office loans out free for up to one week periods. DVDs can be checked out during office hours.
  5. The Spirit - The Spirit is a weekly e-mailed community newsletter that includes upcoming events and activities, a note from the General Manager, and community classified ads. It is a great resource to stay connected with the office and other residents.  To place an ad in the Spirit or if you wish to write a letter to the editor, or a specific article e-mail it to cscc.umn {at} gmail(.)com by 11:00PM on Tuesdays.   Advertising in the Spirit is free for CSCC residents.
  6. CSCC Committees - To help keep the CSCC running smoothly and efficiently and to have a voice in your community, residents can volunteer on one of seven committees: Community Education & Public Relations; Community Activities; Finance & Operations; Grounds, Maintenance & Security; Conciliation & Eligibility; Garage and a seasonal Garden Committee. There are also opportunities to join the CSCC Board of Directors or serve as a Building Coordinator. For more information about these committees, please consult the CSCC Handbook.
